Program Description
This two-week (13 day) affordable quality education program offers participating parents and children an enriching culture experience through language learning, Chinese culture and education related lectures, art and music appreciation, culture activities as well as field trips. It provides unique opportunities for Families with Chinese Children to interact with Chinese children and their parents, to observe and participate in a classroom. Additionally, the program will take participants to famous landmarks such as the Great Wall, the Summer Palace and the West Lake.
Program timeframe - late June to early July, 2006
Tour Arrangements - Three-night, two-day tour of Beijing in the beginning; one weekend trip to Hangzhou, visits in Shanghai throughout the program.
Chinese language lessons in the morning, art, music and crafts activities in the afternoon. Lectures based on Chinese history, culture and education. Field trips such as to Children’s Palace in Shanghai and visiting a family in Hangzhou.
The program is organized and led by Spring International Education Foundation, a non-profit educational organization specializing in cultural and educational programs and exchanges between China and the U.S.
